Coordinate Point Verification ensures accuracy by confirming a point's location on a coordinate plane through systematic calculation and comparison.
Coordinate Point Verification is the process of confirming that a plotted point genuinely corresponds to its intended ordered pair, or that an ordered pair read from a graph genuinely corresponds to the point actually marked, gathering together the individual checks needed to catch any mismatch between a numerical pair and its graphical representation.
Horizontal Displacement Check is the action of confirming that the plotted or read point lies the correct distance from the Vertical Coordinate Axis, corresponding exactly to the magnitude of the value in First Coordinate Position, verifying that Horizontal Movement First was carried out with the correct distance during plotting, or that Horizontal Coordinate Reading captured the correct distance during reading.
Vertical Displacement Check is the corresponding action of confirming that the plotted or read point lies the correct distance from the Horizontal Coordinate Axis, corresponding exactly to the magnitude of the value in Second Coordinate Position, verifying Vertical Movement Second or Vertical Coordinate Reading in the same manner.
Coordinate Sign Check is the action of confirming that the point lies in the correct direction from the Coordinate Origin Location along each axis, verifying that a positive first coordinate truly corresponds to Positive Horizontal Direction rather than Negative Horizontal Direction, and that a positive or negative second coordinate correspondingly matches Positive Vertical Direction or Negative Vertical Direction.
Coordinate Order Check is the action of confirming that the two values of the ordered pair have not been transposed relative to the point's actual location, verifying directly against Coordinate Order Dependence that the value truly occupying First Coordinate Position matches the point's horizontal displacement and not its vertical displacement, and correspondingly for the second position.
Axis Scale Check is the action of confirming that Scale Interval Recognition was applied correctly, reviewing the actual numerical interval represented by the gridlines or tick marks along each axis and recomputing the point's coordinates using that confirmed interval, catching any error that would arise from mistakenly assuming a different scale than the one the graph actually uses.
Quadrant Compatibility Check is the action of confirming that the signs of the two coordinates in the ordered pair are consistent with the quadrant, or axis position, in which the point actually appears, verifying agreement with First Quadrant Sign Pattern, Second Quadrant Sign Pattern, Third Quadrant Sign Pattern, Fourth Quadrant Sign Pattern, or one of the special axis positions described under Axis Points outside Quadrants, and flagging an immediate inconsistency if the ordered pair's signs do not match the region in which the point visually lies.
Point Label Agreement is the concluding action of comparing any Coordinate Label Attachment written beside a plotted point against the coordinates independently confirmed through every check above, ensuring that the visible label matches not merely what was intended but what the point's actual, verified position on the coordinate plane truly represents.
